Christmas Concert
Parents, carers and friends of Mike Reynolds Early Childhood Centre are invited to join our annual Christmas Concert. This year also celebrates the center's 30th birthday!
Day for Daniel
Held annually on the last Friday of October, Day for Daniel honours the memory of Daniel Morcombe.
Parents, carers, and educators are encouraged to start a conversation with children and young people about personal safety.
AGM
As we head towards our AGM in October and this year's term of service for the MRECC Management Committee comes to a close, we are looking for new members to join and support the direction of the centre. The Management Committee has been responsible for a number of initiatives including fundraising for equipment, centre marketing and communications, securing grant funding, implementation of Story Park and Xplore, working bees and more! We are excited to welcome new faces to our committee who can continue to ensure our wonderful community centric centre remains the best in Townsville.
We are seeking parents or carers with a vested interest in the centre and particularly those who have skills in the areas of fundraising, HR, maintenance, health and safety, governance, and financial/accounting. We are therefore asking all parents and carers to consider whether you could donate a few hours of your time every month, to help keep MRECC as special as it is. It’s a great opportunity for you to have an integral say about how the centre is run.

MRECC Cup 'A night at the races'
You're invited to our annual fundraising dinner, another fun and magical night under the Banyan Tree.
Please help us to fundraise for our beautiful little centre by dressing up in your best 'at the races' get-up. Eat, drink, buy raffle tickets and gamble (responsibly of course) and have fun getting to know some of the parents, committee and staff. Tickets on sale now!
National Pajama Day
National Pyjama Day is back and bigger than ever! This year National Pyjama Day is on the 22nd of July. National Pyjama Day is an awesome event where you can join us in our mission to support the educational and life outcomes of kids living in foster care. And what makes it all the more fun is you can rock your favourite PJs while you do it!
Wear your Pyjama’s to daycare and make a donation to a good cause!
